Why is Star Wars so special?

Star Wars first hit the big screen in America back in 1977. Before that, there had been a number of successful science fiction movies, but none that made quite as big an impact as the Star Wars franchise.
The first movie was so successful in fact, that it spawned an entire cult following – one that soon spread throughout the entire galaxy.
The movies fundamentally changed the way that Hollywood movies were made, with awesome narratives, impressive aesthetics, and a host of special effects that took people from Earth and rocketed them far into deep space – all from the comfort of their cinema seats.
Here are 10 reasons why Star Wars is such a massively popular franchise:
- It’s nostalgic for the older generations today – yet still exciting for young children to enjoy.
- It is packed with action and thrills.
- The story is filled with life lessons and thought-provoking wisdom.
- It’s a tech-lovers dream, filled with impressive gadgets that inspired a new generation of scientists and inventors.
- The narrative is friendship-driven and highlights the power of comradery.
- People are always waiting in patient anticipation for the newest releases (it was 3 years until the second Star Wars movie, and another 3-years after that, and then a further 16 years until the sequel trilogy, followed by another 10 years after that before the modern sequel trilogy).
- Star Wars has so much Official Geek Merch you can get your hands on! And some of the rarer items are worth jaw-dropping amounts of money!
- It spans multiple genres, from sci-fi, to heist, romance, action, and in some cases, comedy.
- It spurs the imagination! Both adults and children alike can find some wonderful escapism in the Star Wars franchise.

Who has the most Force Power in Star Wars?

This is a difficult question to answer as many fans have their own theories and nothing is ever really stated as “fact” however, the Force Priestesses from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series are thought of as being the strongest in the galaxy.
- The Father, Brother, and Sister: these three powerful and ancient beings from Mortis are also very powerful. The Brother represents the Dark Side, the Sister, the Light, and the Father, the balance between both.
- Darth Vader: Darth Vader (aka Anakin Skywalker) was highly advanced with the force from a young age and is largely considered as the big daddy of the Dark Side.
- Emperor Palpatine: Palpatine (aka Darth Sidious) is the Emperor and is so powerful with the force that he was able to deceive Yoda and the Jedi Order for many years. There are even claims that he was responsible for creating Darth Vader by using the Force to spawn new life.
Other powerful Force users include:
- Yoda
- Obi-wan Kenobi
- Luke Skywalker
- Rey

Who is older the Jedi or Sith?

The Jedi and the Sith are in constant conflict. One order harnesses the power of the Force for ‘good’ (the Jedi), while the other uses the power of the Force for ‘bad’.
Of course, the Sith aren’t “inherently” bad. It is their abuse of the Power that inevitably consumes them, turning them on a much darker path in the name of self-actualisation and the seizing of power.
So, which of the two orders is the oldest?
It is widely believed that the Jedi came first, however, there is some speculation about this. Many argue that a Jedi Master by the name of Ajunta Pall began using the dark side to create and shape living things.
While some people were fascinated by this, the Jedi High Council were horrified and so they denounced and exiled Ajunta (alongside many of his followers – aka “The Exiles).
One of Ajunta’s followers: Sorzus Syn heard a rumour of a “dark side” species in the Outer Rim otherwise known as the Sith. Eventually, The Exiles found the Sith on their home world of Korriban. The Sith King didn’t trust the outsiders and was eventually betrayed and killed. The Sith then began to worship The Exiles as Gods, Ajunta was declared Dark Lord of the Sith and thus both species interbred and became one. This was the birth of the Sith Order.
As to whether the original Sith species were established before the Jedi Order, there’s no way of knowing. In any case, the Jedi Order was established before the eventual Sith Order.
